I was so saddened to hear of Mikes passing. He was a big part of my childhood years. He along with his sister Donna, my siblings and the neighborhood kids played outside as much as possible. Back then that was a lot. I remember Mike best by his family dog Herman, his love for both his car and motor cycle. He had a wonderful sense of humor and a laugh to go with it. I last seen Mike when he and I were side by side exiting off the interstate 465 onto E 56th street. He was on his way home from work. I remember Mike for his good work ethic. He worked steadily as a teenager to support his car and motor cycle. He worked for Mobile Gas Station on 50th and Franklin Rd, which I believe is now a Seven-Eleven, and he also worked for A Ring Brings a Pizza onPendleton Pike in Lawrence. I’d call up there just to say hi and don’t work too hard. He’d always say hi, thanks for calling got to go click. He was a good friend to many and will be missed.

Mike “Storm’n” Norman was one of my first friends as we grew up on the same street . Mike always worked, even as a kid to support his love for his cars and motorcycle. We had some wild times as teenagers and I will always have fond memories! Rest In Peace Mike! My deepest sympathy for his family.
